Complete reference for international telephone dialing codes covering 224 countries and territories worldwide. Each entry includes the country name, international dialing prefix, national flag, and where available, major city and area codes. Search by country name, code, or city name.
To place an international call, dial your country exit code (011 in the USA, 00 in most of Europe), followed by the destination country code, the city or area code (dropping any leading zero), and then the local number. On mobile phones, replace the exit code with the + symbol which works globally.
Example: Calling London, UK from the USA — dial +44 20 followed by the local 8-digit number.
Country calling codes are defined and maintained by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) under ITU-T Recommendation E.164. They are used as the international dialing prefix to route calls to the correct country before the national subscriber number is dialed.
